The Swedish independent bottler Cane Bottling Co. presents another striking single cask release—this time built around a truly distinctive maturation concept.

At its core is an 8-year-old rum from the acclaimed Foursquare Distillery in Barbados, widely regarded as one of the most respected producers in the world of rum. Initially matured in ex-bourbon casks under tropical conditions at the distillery, the rum developed the signature balance, structure, and depth that Foursquare is celebrated for.

It was then transported to Europe, where it underwent an additional three years of maturation in a cask that previously held rum from the legendary Caroni Distillery, a now-closed Trinidad distillery whose remaining stocks are among the most sought-after in the rum world.

The result is a compelling marriage of styles: the elegance and precision of Barbados rum layered with the darker, heavier, and more industrial character associated with Caroni casks. A rare intersection of two iconic rum heritages, brought together in a single cask expression.

The presentation reflects this duality. The label design unites the blue of Barbados with the red of Trinidad, while featuring one of the historic buildings from Foursquare Distillery—an understated tribute to the origins of this remarkable spirit.
